Two Great Books to help understand our Vision of Ministry

image121

"Sustainable Church" by Walt Russell

This is a great book to read if you want to understand more about the principles found in the scripture that have shaped the formation of The Church. It is an excellent Biblically based explanation for why we are using a Team Pastoring/Shepherding approach to church leadership but even more than that it explains the importance of every member's role in the building up of the Body of Christ.

"Don't Rock The Boat Capsize It" by Rick Bundschuh

This is a great book to read if you want to understand more about the principles found in the scripture that have shaped the formation of The Church. It is an excellent Biblically based explanation for why we are using a Team Pastoring/Shepherding approach to church leadership but even more than that it explains the importance of every member's role in the building up of the Body of Christ.

Praying for God's Leading

image123

Will you join with us?

We are asking you to pray for a new movement of the Spirit of God within His Church, and within our world,

as we follow His leading to plant a new church in the Inland Empire.

This church will be unlike any other church you have seen before,

though you will be able to recognize it as a Church in:

Purpose - to know God, to make Him known, and to worship Him alone (Psalm 25:14, Isaiah 19:21 & Ephesians 4:1-16)

Focus - to fulfill the Great Commission by living out the Great Commandment (Matthew 28:18-20 & 22:36-40)

Name - we will be called "The Church", though our formal name is "The Church Family Fellowship"

(Matthew 16:18, 18:17, Acts and throughout the New Testament)

As We Take Something Old

image124

Many church traditions, though powerful and precious, become objects of worship, especially when the tradition becomes the object of our worship more than the purpose of our worship, which is to direct our attention to the only One worthy of worship

- Jesus Christ, the Son of God!

In fact, Mark chapter 2 offers us several examples of Jesus responding to the pharisees, who often placed a higher value on their traditions in worship instead of helping people focus their attention on the worship of God.

At the conclusion of this passage we come across these final Q&A verses, in which Jesus explains the purpose of setting a day aside for worship and the overriding legal requirement within it...

"The Pharisees said to him, 'Look, why are they doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath?'

Then he said to them, 'The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.'”

Mark 2:24, 27-28

And Breathe New Life Into It!

image125

Our focus, from the start, will be to bring new life into The Church by following the call of Jesus Christ, living for the glory of God the Father, walking in the power of the Holy Spirit, and serving together as one through His Body - The Church!

We will accomplish this in many new and unique ways, with respect for the old, we will press on towards the upward call of Christ Jesus. For it was Jesus who, when speaking to the religious people of the day regarding their traditions, said the following...

“No one tears a piece out of a new garment to patch an old one. Otherwise, they will have torn the new garment, and the patch from the new will not match the old. And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the new wine will burst the skins; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, new wine must be poured into new wineskins. And no one after drinking old wine wants the new, for they say, ‘The old is better.’”

Luke 5:36-39

Regular Sunday Services

As of November 4, 2018 we began holding Sunday Services as a church family and we have now moved into our new location as of December 23, 2018!!!

The Church Family Fellowship started meeting as a church on February 7, 2018 as a group of Christians who know that when we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, the Spirit of God gives gifts to each one of us, "to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up." (Ephesians 4:12 NIV)

Therefore, we focus on serving together in ministry teams, exercising our gifts in service to The Lord for His glory, building up the Body of Christ by sharing God's love with one another and with the world.

Overview of What We Believe

Our Statement of Faith - Overview

One God

Eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

Our Lord Jesus Christ,

God manifest in the flesh, His virgin birth, His sinless human life, His divine miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension, His mediatorial work, and His Personal return in power and glory…

The Holy Spirit,

By whose indwelling the believer is enabled to live a holy life, to witness and work for the Lord Jesus Christ…

The Salvation,

Of lost and sinful man through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ by faith apart from works, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit…

Holy Scriptures,

We hold the Holy Scriptures, as originally given by God, to be the inspired and only infallible, authoritative Word of God. Entirely trustworthy; and the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct...

The Unity,

Of the Spirit of all true believers, the Church, the Body of Christ…

Resurrection & Things to Come,

Of both the saved and the lost: they who are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they who are lost unto the resurrection of damnation…

Baptism and Communion,

It is important to uphold the scriptural practices of the early church. Therefore, we hold to the practice of water baptism and the regular taking of Communion…

Holy Bond of Marriage,

Is designed by God to unite one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime. It is God's natural design and reveals the union of Christ and His church…
